Virtual Sangha

During this pandemic, we're offering Virtual Sangha via Zoom. We start at our normal time, 6pm, and end usually around 7:30.

Every 3rd Sunday is "Social Sunday", when we used to arrive early with snacks and hang out. So now we're doing "Social (Distanced) Sunday". We'll start the Zoom meeting at 5:30 instead of 6:00 and see who shows up!

Dana

Dana for Teachers during the Pandemic:
It's easy to forget dana when you don't have boxes in the back of the room, so please be as generous as comfortably possible. To offer dana to our teachers, please click on the name (below or on the schedule to the right). There you will find instructions on how to make an offering: Sally Armstrong, Leslie Booker, Shaila Catherine, Bill Coffin, Art Jolly, Nikki Mirghafori, Phillip Moffitt, Dawn Neal, Stephanie Noble, Wendy Palmer, Roy Remer, Donald Rothberg, Dawn Scott, Ayya Sobhana, Oren Jay Sofer, and Ayya Tathaaloka,

Dana for Marin Sangha:
We still need to pay for rent, insurance, and other operational costs. We'll be paying half our usual rent to St. Luke's church during the lockdown; we want to keep a good relationship with these folks!

Daylong Retreat:
Deepening Daily Life Practice in a Time of Crisis

with Donald Rothberg

Saturday, June 5, 2021, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

At this time of crisis, there are gifts as well as challenges. One potential gift is the possibility of looking much more deeply into what matters to us, as individuals, and as members of communities and societies, and making significant shifts. As individuals, this may be especially in how we live our daily lives and offer our gifts and services to the world. In this online daylong retreat, we will emphasize the integration of formal meditation practice and daily life, in a number of ways, helping each of us to find what works best for ourselves in deepening daily life practice, and seeing more clearly what the next steps are.

There will be emphases on mindfulness of the body, working with intentions and clarifying priorities, cultivating Wise Speech, becoming more aware of and transforming reactivity, and bringing mindfulness, wisdom, and the open heart more into everyday activities, including work. Each person may especially focus on one or two areas. There will be an optional follow-up group meeting four times, every two weeks, for those attending the daylong, on a dana basis, to support continuing to deepe daily life practice after the daylong.

Pre-registration is required: Register Here
We'll email the participation link 1-2 days before the event.

Daylong Retreat:
The Days and Nights are Relentlessly Passing
~ How Well am I Spending My Time?

with Ayya Anandabodhi

Saturday, October 9, 2021, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

The Noble Eightfold Path is a daily life path, which can encompass all aspects of our life. With clear understanding and clear intention, we can develop wisdom and clear seeing so as to align with this path of Awakening, regardless of what life brings. The day will be guided with meditation instruction, Dhamma talks, and some time for Q & A. Please keep Noble Silence throughout this day of practice, to support settling and deepening.

We'll email the participation link 1-2 days before the event.
