Why Meditate

There are not that many reasons why one would sit to meditate, but the ways to describe it are endless.

Here are a few:

  • Obtain quiet or inner peace
  • Have a respit from the pace of daily life, a momentary pause from our daily lives.
  • Collect and unify the mind
  • Clear the mind from any emotional turmoil
  • Find out what's true in your heart: Feel, experience the truth for yourself
  • Learn lovingkindness and compassion for oneself and for others
  • Understand and learn how to practice forgiveness
